Confronting Abuse and Loving kids in Austin Texas!
We are honored to be doing the Lord’s work here in Austin as we server our community and help those kids who need it most.

Annually, 3.6 million cases of child abuse, neglect or abandonment are reported in America.

One of these victims dies every six hours due to that abuse. But you can make a difference — through your support of Royal Family KIDS.

Royal Family KIDS, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. Donations and gifts are tax-deductible, as allowed by law.

The Church of Glad Tidings in Austin, Texas has been privileged to sponsor a Royal Family KIDS Camp every summer since 1994.  Norton and Kathy Teutsch are our camp directors.  Norton has worked for many years with agencies that serve neglected and abused children of Texas.  Norton and Kathy are assisted by Calvin and Jeanie Estepp, who founded our camp and served as directors for more than 10 years.

As you might imagine, it’s not easy to raise nearly $60,000 each year to create a fun-filled week of memories for these children, but the smiles on those children’s faces is worth more than we could possibly give.  Throughout the year, our volunteers have fun together as we raise the money for next summer’s camp.

Our volunteers love serving at this camp!  Many counselors and support staff have been a part of Austin RFK for more than 10 years.  College students, moms and dads, retired couples – all types of people find joy in serving these precious children of Central Texas.

Royal Family KIDS Camp has a camper-to-counselor ratio of 2:1 with at least 30 additional support staff. Activities are purposefully designed to be non-competitive and non-threatening while allowing children to experience success. God’s love is modeled consistently, through the games, sports, activity centers, Bible stories, drama and quiet times the campers share with their counselors.
